About
Three members are appointed to staggered six-year terms by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate of Maryland (if in session). Two members must be of the majority political party, and the third must belong to the principal minority party. Authorized by §15 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
