National Voter Registration Day is a national holiday celebrating our democracy. The first National Voter Registration Day was held on September 25, 2012. In 2014, the National Association of Secretaries of State established the fourth Tuesday of September as the official day for National Voter Registration Day.
The Allegany County Board of Elections will be hosting an open house to celebrate National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Allegany County Office Complex, 701 Kelly Road, Room 100, Cumberland. Stop by our “Selfie Station” and register to vote for the 2020 Presidential Election. Staff members will be on hand to take voter registration applications, election judge applications, demonstrate voting equipment, and answer questions from the public.
