The Board of County Commissioners of Allegany County are pleased to announce that the small businesses grants issued by the County are eligible for Coronavirus Relief Payment Subtraction on Form 502LU as part of this legislation for the 2020 tax year.
The RELIEF Act of 2021, as enacted by the Maryland General Assembly and signed into law by the Governor on February 15, 2021.

When the original information was released, Allegany County was not included, however, our staff acted quickly to contact the Comptroller’s Office to correct this omission and ensure that our local businesses are able to take advantage of this tax relief.

The Comptrollers officer has released information that new forms will not be updated until March and businesses should wait to file tax returns until the new updated forms are available.
