County Grant Programs

NOTE: Eligibility and application requirements are not yet available for the programs listed below. Grant funding for all four programs will be extremely limited, and specific eligibility criteria will apply. As additional information becomes available, it will be posted on our website.

 Allegany County Government will be receiving funding for four additional grant programs from the Maryland Department of Commerce and the Maryland Department of Community Development:

Online Sales and Telework Assistance COVID RELIEF Grant Program:

This grant funding will support Allegany County small businesses seeking to expand online sales and teleworking capabilities for their employees due to the continued financial impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Allegany County will receive $5,718.14 for this grant fund. More details to follow.

RESTAURANT AND CATERERS COVID RELIEF GRANT PROGRAM:

Opens:  April 23, 2021
Deadline: 4:00 p.m. EST, May 7, 2021

This grant funding will support Allegany County restaurants facing continued financial impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.   Allegany County will receive $251,597.99 for this grant fund. 

Lodging and Accommodations COVID RELIEF Grant Program:

This grant funding will support Allegany County hotel, lodging, and accommodation businesses facing continued financial impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Allegany County will receive $114,362.72 for this grant fund. Please stay tuned.
 

Nonprofit Recovery Grant:

This grant funding will support Allegany County nonprofit organizations facing continued financial impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Allegany County will receive $232,947 for this grant fund.  Applications for non-profits to complete will be available starting May 17, 2021, at noon until May 28, 2021, at 4 pm.  The applications can be sent to dnedved@alleganygov.org. Awards will be announced on June 15, 2021.
