Sheriff's Office Support

Allegany County Sheriff's Office has received funding to support community policing efforts along with several school related and highway safety initiatives.  Funding has been obtained for training, offering community events like the FREE Swim at Dan’s Mountain State Park and the Frostburg Pool supporting the National Night Out event, materials for the Superhero's Challenge including Child Id Kits, and promoting deputies as positive role models in our community. Additional funding received is for school and highway safety initiatives, and to combat the opioid epidemic by providing tools and equipment necessary to investigate and effectively ensure public safety.
