Frostburg Business Park Access Road Improvement

Image - Allegany County Seal

Allegany County Government has seven parks with buildings and/or land available for development. The access road for the Frostburg Business Park is being improved.  A $743,556 contract was awarded to Beitzel Corporation, Grantsville for this economic development oriented project. Located one mile north of Interstate 68 on Maryland Route 3, the Frostburg Business Park is home to a diverse mix of business and manufacturing occupants.  The new road will provide access to approximately 20 additional acres of property and will support the continued development of this marketable property in Allegany County. It will be built to Maryland State Highway Administration standards and specifications and should be completed next summer. According to Jeffrey A. Barclay, Economic Development Specialist with the Allegany County Department of Economic & Community Development, having the necessary access road and the required utilities on site will appeal to businesses. All major upfront work will be completed. These significant initial obstacles will be handled. Time is critical and prospective businesses will be able to locate in the Frostburg Business Park and start operations quickly.
